Recipes with Tea

Tea for Drinking

The traditional way of drinking tea is to purge it with boiling water let it stand for 3 or 4 minutes then poor, adding lemon, sugar or even milk, if your taste buds require. 

But tea is vary refreshing cold .

 

To make really good refreshing cool drink, first make the tea in the normal way, tea,boiling water, but leave the tea to stand longer until it becomes a strong colour before taking out the tea bag, normally 6 to 8 minutes will defiantly do the trick. Poor the tea into a glass container and place in the frig to get nice and cold, with a lid on the container you could leave it to the next day.

When the tea is nice and cold poor in to a tall glass, add a little sugar, top up with ice, crush a clean mint leave and place it in the ice, now drink.

If the taste is to strong dilute slightly with cold water but remember the ice will also dilute the tea. With Lemon tea, a squeeze of lemon juice and a slice of lemon in the ice, will be good. 

For an added kick a little Gin or Vodka will give it some bang, thats my G and Tea. " more tea vicar."

Smoking with a flavored tea can give a really delicate but unmistakable taste that once tried you will want to do again.

We will start with fish, in my thinking all fish smoke well but every palate is different and you may think not, so pick the fish you like.
